Dear Lord God, Heavenly Father; I am here to do the work of this Floral Committee in preparation for worship services and in completion of the worship of our church. Bless my work this day and remind me of the awesome responsibilities that come with my service in and around the altar. May the beautiful areas of worship remind me of my need to worship and to bow before Your majesty. May the flowers, the water of Baptism, the Communion elements, and all of the sacred vessels be handled with love and care. These things are not just symbols of Your abiding presence and Your involvement in our world, but they have also been set aside for holy use. May I always recognize this. Finally, Lord, may I never become weary or unthinking in my service. Use my steps, my movements, my hands, my eyes and ears and all my senses to Your glory. I pray this in the Name of my precious Savior, Jesus Christ. Amen!
